Gear shifter was tested and came back with no faults even though I was having all the symptoms of a faulty one. Was advised it could be an intermittent fault so I proceeded with a repair which thankfully solved my problems!
Wasn't quite the 2-3 day turnaround like it states on the website I think that's 2-3 days from when it actually gets to an engineer not the company. Never the less pretty quick turnaround and successful repair
