Really disappointing experience.
Have ordered from this online retailer a few times in the past and I've not had an issue. Sadly, this time I ordered a set of Le Creuset breakfast bowls which arrived cracked.
I received good, very responsive customer service and a replacement set sent out (received in 2-3 days).
However, the second set arrived in completely the same condition. Again, customer service was fast and responsive and have arranged to have both sets collected from my home address. I requested to have a refund in the end as its just getting silly.
I will say that the bowls were packaged very well, so I suspected the fault was with the courier - it seems the parcel had been thrown around a lot.
But, as the second arrived in the exact same condition, I do now wonder if it's a bad batch. If so, the quality control is lacking. I'd have thought the second set would have been inspected thoroughly before being sent out again. Who knows, but I think these such items will be bought from John L in the future, as I can trust John L to not have this happen.
I can't fault the companies customer service though, it was exceptional.
Real pity, as I feel this inconvenience was so easy to avoid.
