I am so grateful to Shakeel at Disk Doctors. Shakeel recovered data on two hard drives for me last year, and just this week, when I suffered a failure of another hard drive, I felt so relieved to know who to go to for help. I appreciate that, as had been the case last year, Shakeel has been able to restore my data from his Mansion House office, without needing to post my hard drive to a lab elsewhere, and in this way, he eliminated the risk of my drive becoming lost or damaged in the post. It has also made a massive difference to me, that Shakeel has been available to meet at his Mansion House office, during a time when so many businesses will only communicate by phone or email. The reason why this makes such a big difference to me, is because I have suffered from anxiety for a number of years, and this often affects my ability to use email and phone communication, and whilst I hope to make progress and finally overcome this longstanding issue in the near future, the fact that I have been able to see Shakeel in person, and the fact that he has always shown patience and understanding regarding my communication issues, has been in fact, what has made it at all possible for me to receive his help with data recovery. Shakeel is diligent, paying attention to detail, and not only has the technical expertise to restore data, but he is someone who genuinely wants to help his customers. Every time he has recovered data for me, he has explained what has happened to the data, and how he has restored it, and every time I have seen him, he has also offered me advice on methods of better protecting my data including: how to more safely transport my hard drives, how to ensure safe hard drive ejection, how to better manage the backing up of my data via particular hardware or cloud options, and how to even attempt to recover data myself before coming in to see him. By trying to educate me in these ways he is potentially reducing my need for his services in the future, and in this way, he proves that he is more than just ethical in how he runs his business, but he is someone who is an uncommonly good human being. On my latest visit to Disk Doctors, Shakeel even gently encouraged me to overcome some of my anxiety issues regarding communication, and he knew how to do this in a way that was not patronising, but that was sensitive and respectful. He is someone who seems like he has a lot wisdom about life outside of data recovery, and I appreciate that he has cared enough to try to impart some of this wisdom over the hard drive drop off and collection appointments I have had with him. When I was panicking about this week's hard drive failure, amidst so many other things that have been worrying me in my life lately, I was so relieved to find Shakeel, still based at the Mansion House office, still able to help me. I hope that going forwards, I will do better to apply the advice Shakeel has given me to protect my data, so I don't show up at his door panicking about hard drive failures so often! I owe Shakeel so much, not just for having restored my data, but for having shown me patience and compassion when I have been stressed about so many other things in my life at the times when I have seen him. The data Shakeel helped restore is so important to me. In recent years I have endured some financial hardship as a result of my anxiety and other health issues, and my wish is to eventually support myself through music production, and music video creation, and the data Shakeel has recovered has been, for the most part, these music projects, that I am completely depending on, in order to build a future for myself. If I get anywhere with my music, I will not forget that I owe Shakeel for having made that possible. Thank you so much Shakeel. Your work makes a real difference to people’s lives.
