Truly excellent customer service… We bought a GSM intercom about 7 years ago and it’s been pretty much bulletproof until today (or so I thought!) It had stopped dialling when the button was pressed, wouldn’t respond to any SMS commands and there was a quiet buzz coming from the speaker. I feared the worst. After cycling the power off and on in time-honoured IT department fashion, and after removing and reinserting the SIM, I called ControlFreq expecting bad news, “sorry we can’t help you”, “you’ll need to upgrade” or some other expensive variant of reply. Steve spent some time on the phone with me, advising and trying to diagnose the issue but when there were no signs of life from the internal LEDs, the system was pronounced dead. Steve then suggested that maybe there wasn’t power getting to the system which I was pretty skeptical about because how else would it have the power to make a buzzing noise, right? However, swapping the 12v supply that’s been doing the job perfectly well for 7 years sorted the issue immediately and our system is working perfectly again. How many other places can you go for this kind of help and advice on a product that was bought 7 years ago and has probablyj been superseded several times over? That’s truly excellent customer service! Thanks
