The speaker in question was former cricketer Matthew Hoggard. He arrived promptly for the event and took part enthusiastically. His speech was both interesting, and inter active with the audience. What was pleasing was the fact that he stayed on after the main event, allowing people to talk to him and giving, in particular, the younger members opportunity for photograhs with him.An excellent choice.
