Thank you and thanks to John Stiles who entertained us at our AGM/Black Tie Dinner. John was easy company at dinner, engaging with us all at the table. He was his own man but was happy to celebrate his famous father, Nobby. The resonance of the current World Cup was appreciated by all in the room. His after-dinner 'toast to the society' was warmly received and enjoyed. I received much appreciative feedback from members who felt at ease and entertained, especially at such a time when there has not been much to even smile about - Ukraine, Pandemic etc. Thank you John for helping us all to laugh out loud.
