I bought a three strand gold necklet from Chisholm Hunter as a Golden Wedding Present for my wife. When the item arrived, it was disappointing - the price was about double that of three individual gold chains of equivalent weight and style. The real problem was the delivery. I ordered an item that was listed as being "in stock". When it hadn't arrived after a week, I rang to find out if there was a problem. I was assured that the necklet would arrive the next day. It didn't. I waited another couple of days - still no necklet. By this stage I was getting desperate as my Golden Wedding was approaching and I still had no gift for my wife. I rang again and arranged for the necklet to be delivered to another address for the family celebration. The next thing I hear is an e-mail, saying that Chisholm Hunter have dispatched the necklet to my home address not the alternative that I had arranged with Customer Services. Then to add to the confusion, Royal Mail delivers a necklet to the second address. I then spent an anxious weekend worrying whether another necklet had been delivered to my home address as well. It turns out that they hadn't. The moral of the story is that Chisholm Hunter doesn't deliver promptly or explain what is going on. In my case, I've had to accept a disappointing necklet because I ran out of time to find an alternative gift for my wife. I have given the company 2 Stars because they did provide a 3 strand gold necklet and they did finally sort out the delivery problem.
