I ordered some Brother printer cartridges and was contacted next day asking me to ring for more informtion about my order. I was put through to someone who told me that the Brother cartridges were in stock but, then began the hard sell for me to change my order to their own brand cartridges which were: 1. much better
2. would last twice as long
3. The printer would recognise them as authentic Brother cartriges
4. Cartridgepeople.com would guarantee that if there were any problems with my printer they would cover costs of any repairs (
the cost of these cartridges being £2/3 cheaper).
Every time I said NO I wanted the Brother cartridges I had ordered I was given another reason why the own brand ones were better. I even tol the person I spoke to she was 'doing a hard sell' and she said 'Do you think so?'
I eventually stated that I wanted the Brother cartridges which were delivered next day - EXCELLENT.
I assumed the initial phone call would be to inform me of a delay/problem with my order. As much as i appreciate being offered an alternative and saving money I did not need the 'hard sell' experience that followed.
