A.M Vauxhall
The key fob for a Vauxhall Corsa 2010 was summoned in April 2022. The Keys’ buttons became ‘Jelly Like’ within 20 days and the remote locking ability vanished. The key was repaired on 15th May (accepted liability) notwithstanding the remote locking ability vanished again by 10th November 2022? Considering that the Vauxhall had travelled 7 miles since April, the defect is clearly with the disingenuous key. K so i attended Portland Road on 15th November to report the key fault for a second time in 7 months. The lacklustre associate used a ‘metal detector’ to diagnose that the key ‘worked’. As I could anticipate a denial of liability, I showed a video of the key doing nothing when the vehicles ‘jelly like’ Keys are pressed. The lacklustre associate blamed the vehicle, and based on their 1 second metal detector result, refused to open up the key. This associate reluctantly confirmed that I’d had the same problem in May 2022 but blamed the car and there denied responsibility. Utterly poor business after the fact whilst they are off course happy to charge an initial fee when you lose your key etc. Lesson learnt, pay the balance that the dealership asks.
