I went on the explore expedition to Tanzania. This was honestly the most amazing experience of my life and I felt so so happy whilst I was away - I didn't want to come home! For somebody that had to fundraise every penny of the trip and kit, I can say that I feel that all the hard work my family and I put in was worth it!! The staff at every camp were so friendly and happy which lifted the mood of my team. Also, my team leader was awesome and definitely helped to make the trip such an amazing, unforgettable experience. The projects we worked on were an enjoyable challenge and we could see our hard work turn into progress. I also loved the cultural activities we got to try such as making chapattis, banana curry and mandazis. We got to meet lots of local children and even play a football match with them which was lots of fun. This has been a life changing experience for me and I've made some epic new friends along the way too. Top tip - take a diary with you and keep a travel journal. This is one of the best things I took with me and I can now read and replay little memories in my mind :)
