Bought a 4 door mirror wardrobe in 2019, from bensons for Beds in Didcot with repair warranty paid for from home furniture repairs. This order was delivered, and the wardrobe couldn't fit because of its height. This order was returned and was changed to a 2 door sliding mirror wardrobe which was delivered within the specific estimated time frame. The sales assistant gave us a number of SERVICO group to contact them so that we could arrange and for the wardrobe assembling as We are not very good with DIY. SERVICO was overrated by Bensons for beds sales assistant that they were the best in assembly their merchandise. Servico group was contacted and a date was arranged for the wardrobe assembly. This was assembled within half an hour and the team left. A couple of years now, first damage that happened was the back of the wardrobe falling to the wall. Sliding doors now cannot slide to either side both stuck in the middle. And clothes hanging rail broken as well. Due to having warranty, I contacted hoke furniture repairs and made a claim. Home furniture repairs sent a technician who came and inspected the faulty parts. "He said this wardrobe was not fixed properly and is very wobbly when you slide the doors. Which is dangerous that I have kids around. He said he will feed back to the team and a date can be arranged to repair the wardrobe. Received, email from home furniture group to confirm policy number and ward robe I have. I gave them the 2 door policy number and instead them, they had the 4 door ward policy number which was first delivered and returned. So i had to contact bensons for beds several times to get this right but all in vain. Every time i called the store explaining the situation, they alwalys told me that that's right policy number they have got on the system. But then home furniture repairs have got a policy for the 4 door ward meaning the wardrobe can only be fixed by them if the policy is changed to correct policy number. Was directed to contact customer service reagarding this issue, and having explained the situation. The lady i spoke too apparently said that because the wardrobe was bought in 2019 and this is 2023 . Therefore it could not be fixed. I still feel very gutted and disappointed in the entire service providers and management of this particular merchant. The fact i paid for repair warrant i do not not think this is right because home furniture repairs are very happy to fix my wardrobe but only issue is the policy they got is for the 4 door wardrobe. And needs to be changed to the 2 door wardrobe that I have got now. So be careful especially when you put warranty on items purchased.
