I think these are superior to charcoal...they give a consistent slightly hotter longer burn...as this briquettes are all one uniform size and weight where as my genuine charcoal are different sized lumps or wood branches which can burn faster if small or slower if large so if I'm going to roast a chicken in my Cobb I know exactly how many briquettes to add....and the delivery is always very good as it's not royal mail...steve
