I'm choosing poor 2 stars not because of the batteries or the speed in which they are delivered. All good. I'm choosing poor because I raised a serious point about packaging and received a reply that insulted my intelligence. I wrote "This is the kind of lazy packaging that really makes me really angry, because it so thoughtless. Obviously the impact on the environment should always be considered, whenever something is packaged by companies for posting goods to customers. Why should the onus of this (now common) practice of having to remove the (unnecessary) brown sticky tape to separate recyclable from non-recyclable be placed on me as the end customer in the supply chain? On the one hand, you are using packaging “designed for recycling” (GOOD) and on the other, you are post-wrapping the recyclable packaging in sticky brown tape (BAD), which is non-recyclable and very hard to remove! I wish to express my feedback/opinion as your end customer." Their reply from Carol in Customer Services was "Thank you for your email and your feedback regarding our packaging. We do take environmental issues very seriously. We secure the parcel with brown tape to ensure that the batteries do not become loose from the internal packaging during transit, we feel that a leaking battery is far more detrimental to the environment." Conclusion: Battery Station need to package their batteries more intelligently. A battery doesn't leak if it is poorly packaged. So take note Battery Station! This feedback needs to come to the attention of James Lupton Director Alphafado Ltd, which owns battery station.
