Purchased a VisionNova 8 baby monitor set at the beginning of July. Delivery was quick, it looked smart (I liked the touchscreen monitor) and set up was easy; however, it soon became apparent that the app didn’t work outside of the home WiFi, whereas the description on the website said it would work wherever there was internet connectivity. I then also discovered one of the power adaptors was not working (the monitor actually came with US plugs and so 2 UK adaptors were enclosed separately in the parcel). Emailed customer services and received a reply 2-days later advising that the support team would look into it and get back to me. Didn’t hear anything back within the following week so decided to return for a refund as it didn’t match the description on the website (so it didn’t do what we wanted it to) and there was also an annoying buzzing sound from the camera so you can’t have the sound turned up on the monitor to hear baby!! Emailed as per their instructions for a returns number; waited a few days, no reply so I phoned them. Appears my email was overlooked and the girl sent through the information needed to send the monitor back. Returned immediately the same day but had to use Royal Mail special delivery as the returns label provided wouldn’t print in the correct format to be accepted by the post office (tried 2 different computers and printers). That cost me £11! I did email to inform them of this; but as with all other emails, there was no reply. Waited 2 weeks as per information on the website and heard nothing so sent an email enquiring when to expect the refund. No reply so phoned them 5 days later and was told they would look into it and get back to me the same day. I ended up having to phone them back 5 minutes before they closed to find out what was happening and was told it had been processed; then got a confirmation email a few minutes after I got off the phone call. The refund then only took 2 days to be paid back to my bank, but overall I was left with the impression that they aren’t keen on refunding (as I had to chase them so much) and I am £11 out of pocket for the return postage! Unfortunately, I wouldn’t buy from here again.
