I nearly chose the wrong supplier! I was about to order a Bambu lab P1S from a competitor of Additive-X. But after a conversation with a bored sounding man on a hard to hear phone line I tried Additive-X. What a difference. I had a pleasant and informative conversation with Rachel who answered all of my questions on a clear phone line. I did a quick check on their web site and found a well organised and long established firm. After placing my order I received a call from Rachel asking if I realised that there would be a delay in the delivery as they were waiting for a shipment to arrive. I said that I was aware that all suppliers were waiting for the same shipment. So I expected to have to wait at least a couple of weeks. But it actually arrived within a few days. It was well packaged and undamaged. After setting up the printer I had difficulty connecting to the internet. So I phoned Additive-X and was passed on to Chris Furlong, an extremely helpful and patient engineer, who spent a couple of hours, including with a video link, trying to work out what the problem was. After a lunch break Chris phoned me back to suggest a possible solution, after consulting with his colleagues, that my WiFi may be operating at 5GHz instead of the required 2.4GHz and that my extension that I have installed could well be set to the correct frequency. This was indeed the case and so my problem was solved. Just imagine what would have happened if I’d chosen the other supplier with the bored person on the bad phone line?
