Absolutely awful service. My 17 year old daughter had provisional insurance with them, paid by direct debit, made an initial payment followed by 3 further payments, cancelled the policy by email once she had passed her test as we were unable to contact them to update her insurance, constantly on hold until til the call eventually terminated! Sought insurance from another more reliable provider… The cancellation cost has cost her £105.53….£50 cancellation fee, commission £16 & another £40 in hidden costs. No welcome pack provided when she had taken out the insurance…..Truly awful, threatening a 17 year old with debt collection agency if she doesn’t pay all of the above, I fully accept a cancellation fee but other hidden costs..Really??? I was under the impression that children under the age of 18 couldn’t enter into a financial agreement without an adult being a guarantor. She can’t even have a mobile phone contract in her name as she’s under the age of 18. When my son had taken out insurance at 17 I also had to sign to say if he didn’t pay then I would be held accountable. I have emailed them 3 times on her behalf since 24 August, I have received 3 automated replies saying they will contact us within 7 days, almost 2 months later absolutely nothing!! I have finally spoken with them after numerous calls but to be honest all they do is read the email they had sent my daughter about the outstanding balance. DO NOT be tempted by there cheap quotes please be aware of hidden cancellation costs.
