I recently had the misfortune of a car dying on me (well, too expensive to fix properly). My normal route up to now has been "drive or tow to a scrap yard and have done". The place I bought my new car from recommended Abbey Scrap Cars, so I had a look. To my surprise, they not only took your car away, but they paid you as well. There had to be a catch somewhere, right? As it turns out, no. I sent the request, and Abbey contacted me to arrange a pickup, and ask how I'd like to be paid. At the time given, a very nice man turned up at the door and picked up the key to the defunct vehicle and thanked me, informing me that everything would be taken care of. The car is now gone, with no effort on my part, I have cash in the bank and it couldn't be simpler, or better lead through the process by Abbey. Consummate professionals, making a previously annoying activity quick and completely painless! Couldn't recommend highly enough.
