We ordered a corner sofas, one recliner and paid a deposit. We were promised they will be ready in 5 months, beginning of June is when they were due for delivery we received a text saying due to COVID 19 they will not be able to deliver and they will let us know when. We waited for another month, end of 2nd month which was August, we called them, they said the order haven’t arrived yet, we kept calling now and again and were told the same nonsense. on Monday 19/10/2020 I received a missed, from PANTHER, I called them back same day, the staff told me they wanted to book a delivery date for my sofas, I was very excited they booked for 27/10/20, I took a day off from work and hired a van to get rid of my old sofas. on 27/10/20 at 9:34am I received a text saying “ we are sorry your bensons order has not arrived to our depot in time for delivery. We will call to rebook with you again”,. We decided to call them and see what’s happening because my order was with Harveys not bensons. when we called we told them that our order was from Harvey’s not bensons, the lady said Harvey’s have transferred their business to bensons, I asked her why were customers not informed, she said she wasn’t sure, she then told us to hold on while she was checking, we were kept on hold for over an hours without any useful information. She promised to call us the following day at 10am with full information but to our surprise she never called. We called after a day and were told the delivery will be in the beginning of December. We decided to call again later, they told us the delivery might be at the end of December. My son took over the case because at this point I was very stressed. He called and spoke to a man, he was very professional and promised he will escalate the case and give us a productive feedback. But the following day we decided to go and buy else where. We called them to cancel the order. We were really confused and annoyed because every time we called we were given different stories. We were left in an empty setting room with no sofas. My question is why did they gave us a fake delivery date and made us get rid of our sofas. Is this how a customer should be treated?. I would advise customers to read the reviews before they buy anything because if had read we wouldn’t have gone through all that. I was surprised when I read the reviews because I came to realise that Harvey have failed a lot of customers since 2017. COVID 19 was just an excuse. In future they should be honest because it’s not fair on the customer’s it shows that you are just after our money. I blame the whole management. Please refund my money back.
