When I knew I was going to be arriving into Heathrow( one of the busiest airports in the world, that I had never been to before) with one of my teenagers and the other one was arriving the same day close to the same time from Amsterdam but to a different Heathrow terminal, I began to think 2 Taxi’s or the airport express train and try to meet at the station or on The train would be difficult or hit and miss, I googled for airport transfers. I found 24/7 but had a few issues trying to book using my phone, so I used the live chat and customer support was awesome, they helped me through the whole booking process, although they could not see what issues I was facing in Australia on my phone trying to book an airport transfer in London. Tip 1 use a PC and not your phone. Sure a taxi may have been cheaper but it wasn’t worth the risk. I advised 24/7 of the number of people and the amount of luggage we had and the fact that it was a two terminal pick up and nothing was too much hassle. The diver arrived to meet us at the arrivals area, he was in text message communication from the moment we hit the tarmac, he tracked our flight (we landed early and he knew it) and his car was large enough for all of us and our luggage comfortably, Every moment I felt safe and comfortable with the driver which as a mother with two kids in tow is a huge deal, you can’t put a price on that. OMG could the driver talk!! He was a full bottle on information, a tour guide on the sites we past and full of advice that would make our time in the UK and travel easier. We don’t routinely tip in Australia, I paid the agreed value before traveling and had cash on hand for the driver directly for a tip and was happy to tip him as he was great. 100% you never know what you are going to get or if things will work out or if transfers book d online would be a scam, I’m a bit cautious as you can probably tell. 24/7 was worth the risk booking online, worth the stress relief of having a transfer booked and 100% worth it knowing that they were reliable, ontime, accommodating and safe.
