What Are Colour Temperatures?
One of the choices you’ll have when customising your GU10 spotlight fitting is whether you want bulbs included or not.
If you do choose to, then you’ll have to pick between warm white (3000K) and cool white (6000K).
These are just 2 different places on the colour temperature chart – a measure of the perceived warmth of the light emitted by any given light source. Measured in Kelvins, there are different uses for each.
Warm white appears very close in terms of shade to conventional halogens, and is good for creating a welcoming, homely feeling. This makes it perfect for the bedroom or living area.
Cool white is a little brighter and icier than warm white. Its penetrative light makes it better for areas that need to be well lit such as the kitchen, office or warehouse.
