The robust stand on the Mitox LS65x raises the 52cm horizontal splitting beam to provide the ideal working height when splitting logs. The Mitox LS65x horizontal log splitter is equipped with a powerful 2200 watt mains electric motor which delivers an impressive 6.5 tonnes of splitting force.
This model has the added benefit of a MultiSplit splitting wedge which splits the logs four ways, saving you time and effort in achieving the desired log size.  Mitox's Quicksplit technology consists of a return control valve which allows the user to adjust the split stroke, meaning the push block does not have to return to the full length after every split, ideal when working with smaller logs.  Two-handed operation with hand guard protects the user's hands for safe use; when the switch is released, the push block is returned to its start position.
Supplied with 5 metres of cable, the Mitox LS65x log splitter can be easily transported and stored thanks to the easy-rolling wheels.
For homeowners with large quantities of logs to split, the Mitox LS65x horizontal electric log splitter is the fast, easy and comfortable way of preparing firewood without the backache of tackling the chore hand.

I have owned this splitter for a few weeks now and dealt with 2 tons of wood, more about that later. Over all it is a great machine that offers good value for money. Grim reaper delivered next day free of charge which is great. It looks identical to other machines on the market and I guess they are mostly made by the same manufacturer then painted and branded accordingly. The thing with this brand is you get the stand and the stopper as with the machine not as an added extra. I used it without the stand and with the stand. Lots will depend on your personal preference and what you are splitting and if you have the space for the stand. It doesn’t take up much room off the stand and can be easily stored or transported. The stand is wide as to be sturdy, good working height for normal size folk. It does take up room and is harder to move around in my opinion. That said it’s on the stand. 5 minutes to bolt it all together. Splitting small and medium logs is great. Larger discs are a struggle to get on and would be much easier off the stand. I split 80kg oak disks 12-14 inch thick. It was not easy to load when on the stand! The splitter coped effortlessly with this fresh green oak. As per the instructions it says to split the wood green. I did split some seasoned and part seasoned beach and fruit wood smaller logs. It is violent. They come flying out with great force with a bang. Not recommend. Willow was a struggle for this machine although it got through it by using a second log to push the one being split right through. The return stop which saves time and electricity is probably the worst part of this machine and I am going to take it off. It doesn’t work well at all, comes loose easily and judders down the rod stripping the paint from it and annoying me at the same time. It also stops the ram from fully retracting. An easy fix and one, no doubt discouraged by the seller, is to put a bungee round the leaver that actuated the ram to the wheel axle. This holds the ram on so you can operate single handed using the motor button. To retract just pull the handle up until it retracts the desired distance. This hack has transformed the machine for me making it so much more user friendly and controlled. You have a free hand but be careful where you put it! An excellent purchase and I wish I had it years ago. Enjoy splitting!

What a machine. I haven't come across a big enough log that this wont split 1st time, it's taken everything ive thrown at it with ease. 110% recommended.

Looks a solidly built piece of kit and has managed to easily split the logs I've used on it thus far (ash, recently logged into 25 - 30 cm lengths, ranging up to 40 cm diameter). Too early to say how long it will last, but no problems thus far

I’ve used this 6.5 ton splitter a few times now and can’t fault its performance. I’m splitting soft wood that has been lying for about 10 months, uncut, and up to 14 inch diameter, all easily dealt with. I have some much bigger stuff coming in a month or two but I reckon it will cope. The is a heavy bit of kit and the wheels really need to be bigger and pneumatic if you’re moving it on anything other than a smooth, hard surface. The stand and the four way wedge are a good bonus as is the 5m cable. Check the oil before you use it. It may we’ll need topping up.

The stand isn’t the best, not a very good fit and was two bolts short when assembling also not very stable when wheeing from A to B. The first two logs I put on it were very knotty and stopped it dead, I managed to split them later with an axe but it took some doing. The stop that prevents the ram returning all the way back has to be very tight to stop it creeping all the way back so I can’t see the stop lasting long, stick to the basic stuff and it definitely does the job and will save a lot of sore arms and backs.

Hi Thank you for taking time to review your Mitox log splitter. Obviously, had we known that parts were missing, we could have sent out replacements, but glad to hear you overcame this. I will pass on your observations to the manufacturer to assist with their product development. Kind regards Nicki
