“I bought a 4ocean bracelet for my daughter on the 22nd April and it has already fallen apart. Are the bracelets biodegradable? At £16:I would expect it to last longer than 3 weeks.”

Hi Paul, I'm sorry you've experienced a problem with the bracelet you bought for your daughter. The bracelets are hand-tied and so on the very odd occasion these issues do occur, but I'll arrange for a replacement to be sent out to you immediately. The bracelets are not biodegradable as they are made from the recycled plastic and glass that is removed from the ocean by the 4Ocean clean-up crews. Please recycle the broken bracelet by removing the metal 4Ocean charm, then placing the glass beads in with your glass recycling and the cord in with your plastic recycling. “Like the idea that 4 Ocean is making a real difference in cleaning our seas and oceans, and the idea of selling these recycled bracelets to help their cause is a great idea. My only dissapointment is that the cost of the bracelet £18 compared to the quality is very poor. I know that the bracelets are made from re-cycled waste, but they are quite small and look a little cheap. I did'nt mind paying £18 to help clean up the plastic waste from the seas, but I expected the bracelet to be of slightly better quality.”
