For those who would like additional protection, we offer the Cavallo Pastern Wraps (sold in sets of two).
The pastern wraps offer an extra layer of protection for your horse’s soft skin when you ride.

Velcro the Cavallo wrap around the hoof, keeping it low to the ground around the bottom of the bulb and drawing the elastic diagonally upward from back to front.
Place the boot on the hoof, toe first, ensuring that the wrap lies flat. Velcro the red tab from the pastern wrap onto the red Velcro on the tongue of the boot.
Carry on your boot fastening procedure as normal.

Cavallo Pastern Wraps are available in the following sizes:

Small - Fits Cavallo Boots Size 0 - 1
Medium - Fits Cavallo Boots Size 2 - 3
Large - Fits Cavallo Boots Size 4 - 6

“I wouldn't recommend these to be honest, they come up very small, I ordered the size recommended for the boot size (size 3 slim boots, medium wraps) and they went nowhere near her feet, actually ended up damaging the stitching trying to get them done up. In fairness to Cavallo customer service, I contacted them and they have offered to send me a larger size FOC but I just found them very fiddly to get positioned correctly and they moved so my horse ended up with heel rubs anyway. Pretty disappointed.”

“I bought these so that I could be sure the Cavallo Sport boots wouldn't rub my horse. They are good but they need to be fastened tightly or they can slip.”
