“Not a great experience TBH. The burner was well packaged using both polystyrene board and peanuts, however, it wasn't wrapped up in a plastic bag or even paper, so bits of polystyrene stuck to everything. The self adhesive felt pad on the bottom of the burner had been put on a good 10mm out of place, so guess where all the bits of polystyrene from the boards stuck to... the exposed section of the sticky side of the pad, had to trim it off in the end with a knife.
The burner itself does not include the glass ball, the burner you get is not as shown in the pictures.
Also, the "premium" cones are garbage. You get very little scent off them, and they mostly just stink of burnt oil and ash, which takes days to get out the house again. They also burn out in about 5 minutes. Also in the mixed bag of cones, theres nothing anywhere telling you what colours are what scents, its pure guesswork as to what is what.
I have bought other, much more effective backflow cones before from elsewhere, I'll go back to them...
So in summary, the Burner itself was of decent enough quality, other than the fact it didn't come with the glass ball as shown, but stay away from the "burner + cones" package, get your cones from elsewhere.”
“I’m always unhappy about leaving bad reviews - not least when I feel partly responsible. Subsequent research has shown that even the best ‘backflow’ cones look ok for about ten minutes, then leave the flat smelling like a bonfire, give me itchy eyes and leave the ‘waterfall’ smelling like and old ashtray and covered in a brown tar-like residue. I was pulled in by alluring videos - and the chat I had with an Incense Haven employee who assured me these cones were ‘better than the others’ - they are but only just. I didn’t give up smoking to reintroduce the smell of old ashtrays into my life. I believe it is the nature of the descending smoke and there is no ‘cure’. The cones smell great - until you light them. This ‘backflow’ thing is, sadly, rubbish. I’ve wasted too much money on this sadly…..”
