Having ordered one bassoon reed on Friday night, it arrived on the following Monday and was a really good responsive reed. Many thanks for your prompt efficient service - I will recommend you to friends and pupils.

We were visiting Monmouth and Crook & Staple went out of their way to supply us with a top quality reed. When they realised the chosen reed was out of stock, they supplied us with another (better) reed for the same price. Thank you so much!

Reed seems good although a bit loud for soft parts. It passed the "e" test...

Thank you - amazingly fast response, even to the Highlands of Scotland. Free delivery is great too, but most of all, I'm delighted to be able to buy these bassoon reeds again. They were always the best and most reliable and they obviously still are. A lovely mellow sound. Looking forward to more playing on them and no more reed problems. Thank you!

Having had reeds from the original Windeler about thirty years ago, I was told recently of the existence of these ones, and ordered several in the hope that they would be of the same standard. Probably over the time my style of playing has changed substantially, but I am very happy with the quality of the cane and the manufacture. All of them played straight out of the box, though the wires needed a bit of adjustment. I would/will get them again, and definitely through Crook and Staple, as they gave excellent and very fast service with no hassle, and no currency exchange problems, as there would be if buying direct from Windeler in Germany. The free postage was a real bonus too.
