That said, the Christmas Forest is London’s favourite independent retailer – or treetailer – of real Christmas trees.

“This year the correct size was delivered and the delivery went well. The tree is lovely though the bottom is very uneven: very low on one side and very high on the other side. I guess it’s quite expensive when you think about it so you’d expect the tree to be perfect and I don’t think we’ve ever had a year when both the delivery and the tree were perfect…”

“My tree arrived on time, and is very beautiful. However, I chose Christmas Forest for their apparent care of the environment, and because I very very rarely buy anything made of plastic. I was very disappointed when my tree arrived in a huge amount of very thick plastic. My home is almost plastic free, and so this made me very sad”
