“After 15 years of faithful service our Echo SRM2655 had finally had enough, and we replaced it with this one, as the nearest equivalent for an old friend. My only reservations about it are based on unfamiliarity with new features (new to me, even if not actually recent innovations), so really I should be giving it 5 stars. I like it - easy to start,whether from cold or when warm, manoeuvrable, easy to keep clean. I am getting used to the harness - like a flack jacket out of Line of Duty, compared with the little webbing straps I kept going for so long by stapling them back together whenever they frayed - and I am gradually coming to terms with the method of feeding out more cutting line by banging the head on the ground, which seemed quite unnatural to start with. However it does seem to work, and it is very convenient not to have to stop and unscrew the head every so often. To begin with, I thought that after a bang on the ground the engine seemed to judder a bit, but otherwise it runs smoothly and cuts effectively. I would recommend it for keeping a large garden tidy”

“Only used once so far and am a bit concerned that the weeds I strimmed wrapped themselves around the head of the strimmer thus stopping it going round. I had to untangle them before being able to continue.”

“Great product. Main advantage is it's light weight, therefore easy to manoeuvre. Fuel tank on the small side and sometimes hesitant to start. Overall happy with the product.”
