This unit works out the box with no fuss. Simply power it on, run a 10 second channel scan to find free frequencies and then select the channels on the microphones. The audio quality of both the handset and belt pack lapel mic is very good. Very clear with no interference or range issues encountered so far. The gain on the belt pack can be altered by a little control knob. The gain on the handheld only has the ability to drop the gain by 10dB. I had to use this option to prevent feedback with our PA system and it worked okay. We chose a channel 38 unit as that band has plenty of spare frequencies. Channel 70 only has 4. The downside is you need a license to run on Channel 38 which is £75 a year. Build quality is good, the main unit is nicely compact with no external aerials sticking out. Output is via 2x XLR or 2x 6.5mm phono connectors. The power wart has a good long cable on it. f you want to step up from the cheap karaoke type units, this is an ideal choice.
