Enjoyed our first tentrr experience here! Although it intermittently rained during our 2-night stay here we absolutely had a marvelous time here. Mother nature made sure that after every rainfall the sun would show up and dried our things up. The canvas tent protected us from the heavy downpour at night. My kids enjoyed the stream which is a few steps from the tent. I have a toddler so I wanted a body of water that is shallow. We just stayed on the property and hiked to look for the falls but unfortunately even if it rained there wasn’t any waterfalls on the rocks and cliffs. There was one instance when we saw a couple with kids walking along the stream. I thought they were from the sister site but when we hiked two hours later and saw the other camp site it wasn’t occupied at all. We had an SUV so we were able to park beside the tent. The pathway going to the site is hilly. There’s a Dollar General and a town grocery nearby. That’s where we got extra firewood and ice. The chinese takeout at that area is good. All in all I highly recommend this listing most especially for first-timers.
