While I think the idea of creating a reusable applicator is genius, the functionally of it is not as good as I hoped and certainly not nearly as good as with the single use applicators coming with tampons. In most of my attempts, instead of pushing the tampon out of the upper part with the plunger, the upper part was pushed inside with the tampon. And I want to use an applicator because I cannot easily reach there this is especially uncomfortable. I think this happens because the plunger and upper part are not connecting in any way and the material is very slick. Is is so much easier to move the whole part up with the tampon than move the tampon out of it. The material is very nice though and it is easy to clean. Needs a version 2.0 however to be functional in my opinion. Unfortunately not a replacement for single use applicator tampons for me.
