I had an absolutely dreadful experience selling a Coachella ticket on StubHub for the first time. Two months before the festival, I purchased two general admission tickets for myself and my husband. Unfortunately, close to the event, my husband had a job change and couldn't attend. Left with no choice but to sell his ticket, I opted for StubHub.
Despite selling the ticket for less than what I bought it for, I thought things would go smoothly. I sent the wristband via priority mail to the buyer, only to face a nightmare after the event. The buyer claimed the wristband was invalid, well after the festival had ended.
In a desperate attempt to resolve the issue, I provided StubHub with ample evidence: pictures of the wristband, barcode, the associated code number, confirmation emails from the original Coachella website, bank statements showing the purchase, and receipts from FedEx proving shipment to the buyer.
Despite all this, the response from Stacey, the person handling my case, was abysmal. She took weeks to reply, only to inform me that my case was closed due to the passage of time, effectively fining me an additional $468 on top of not receiving payment for the wristband I sold.
This experience left me frustrated and deeply disappointed. I will never trust StubHub again. Their lack of accountability and disregard for sellers' efforts is appalling. Steer clear of StubHub if you value your time, money, and peace of mind.
