About Jericho Coffee Traders:

Kiwi James and his wife Lizzie had always been in love with the idea of having their own coffee business, often scheming about how they would go about starting it up.

The opportunity came in 2009 when they found a beautiful Vespa trike for sale on the side of the road, and both thought: “that needs a coffee machine on the back of it”! And so, Jericho Coffee Traders was born!

Now we have a thriving online business and three locations in Oxford, UK - our Espresso bar on the High Street, our Cafe at the Oxford Castle, and our Cafe & Roastery on Osney Mead - all serving delicious espresso and filter coffees accompanied by locally made pastries and cakes.

We loved the coffee enthusiasts experience and came away with more information than we expected. The session is interactive and brilliant for anyone wanting to understand more about their favourite drink. It is enlightening and experiential. Well worth the money.

I thoroughly enjoyed this half-day course. The organisers were really friendly and knowledgeable and were generous with their time. If you're already somewhat familiar with the world of speciality coffee this course might cover some things you already know, but they were always happy to answer any other questions you might have. Definitely worth the price!

A very enjoyable Coffee Experience with the enthusiastic team from Jericho. We tasted different beans from similar roasts and then tasted the difference between the same bean on a light, medium and dark roast. We also experienced the difference the brewing method can make on the taste of the same bean. All this and a lesson on where in the world the beans are grown and the intricacies of the coffee roasting process. A very informative and enjoyable way to spend half a day and come home with a bag of your favourite beans! Thank you to the Jericho team for such an great experience.

Learned a lot from this course - my partner and I like opposite ends of the coffee taste wheel! Fun and friendly course leads and it takes place in a lovely space. Quite a small group so it felt like you could ask questions and chat about your particular areas of interest. Would definitely recommend.
