“I tried mounting my new danbuoy on the push-pit but the stainless steel holder was much longer than the height of the rail so the spacing between the mounts was too close and the whole thing therefore very flexible. The height of the danbuoy and it's angle looked ridiculous, flexible and would get in the way of the cleat. I then mounted the steel holder on a vertical section of the transom above the bathing platform. This gave a much more rigid installation with better access to the danbuoy. However, I had to drill 8 holes in the transom to do this.”
