But they are not jerry cans as they are plastic not steal and will not fit in my jerry can holders on my land rover, but they do hold diesel with a locking ring lid once locked can't open unless you break the locking ring so don't do lids tight until you fill themas I did on one as I didn't want to lid to get lost just a warning, nice and strong and they do stack ok when full unlike others I've used.

Just to make you aware, jerry cans can be made of different construction materials other than metal – so if you are looking for metal canisters in the future, you might need to specify “steel jerry can” during your searches.
