I started Coffee Hit in 2008, when I was always buying cool coffee gear from USA and Australia as it was not availble in the UK. I wanted great coffee for my customers and at home!

“Wow! Love this upgrade to my Baratza Encore. Been meaning to do this for a couple of years - ever since I found out it was a possibility - and wish I'd done it sooner. Coffee grinds so much finer and the flavour of the dark roasts we prefer is so much better as a result. Actually doing it was easy as long as you follow the brilliant video on the Baratza support website, work methodically and use the right tools. Love too the fact that Baratza encourage improving and repairing their products. Very very happy with this.”

“Didn't expect to find a massive difference with these, but in fact they've significantly changed the flavour of my coffee for the better. Far more consistent and finely adjustable than the original Encore burrs, plus able to go significantly finer with much smaller steps for tuning espresso. Very impressed.”

“The outer burr ring of my Encore was worn out after 2.5 years of constant use, taking much longer to grind which was already a slow grinder. So I decided to replace the whole set with the upgraded burrs. The difference is definitely worth it. It now takes a few seconds for a full 10 cup carafe worth of beans and the consistency is visibly improved. My Encore has gained a second life with an improved performance.”

“Nice burrs, but unfortunatelly it is a massive pain to change the bottom burr.”
