“Despite our fears, having read some recent bad reviews, we were pleasantly surprised. Our room was excellent, all newly refurbished and clean. The hotel is still in the process of refurbishment in some areas, hence no restaurant and a restricted breakfast choice, but all in all very good. All staff that we met were helpful and friendly and the position of the hotel is perfect for visiting the picturesque St Ives.”

“Satisfactory as it was under refurbishment. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable. The hotel is positioned perfectly for visiting the town and is surrounded by lovely scenery. We had a pleasant relaxing stay.”

“We did enjoy our stay but glad we only paid a Wowcher price. I would have been quite disgruntled if I had paid the full price. There was building work going on and the hotel felt like it was closed to a degree. The rooms were nicely redecorated and clean, had to ask for a hairdryer though as there wasn’t one in the room. The cooked breakfast was ok, didn’t wow in anyway but filled a hole. There weren’t any mushrooms and the coffee was instant. There was a good continental selection though. On a positive, the staff were extremely kind and helpful and the location is fantastic. Very good bus service into Cambridge and only a short walk to the bus stop from the hotel. £2 each, each way into Cambridge. Bargain! Also great bars in the town and fantastic selection of restaurants and takeaways. I would like to return when the hotel is complete and would recommend staying there if not just for the location.”

“Lovely hotel, staff were very friendly. The hotel is under refurbishment but this doesn’t really effect use as it has a beautiful location and lots of places to go out and see! We upgraded our room and had a lovely re decorated room with new bathroom comfy bed and a balcony and view of the lake. I don’t understand the bad reviews left as we have already said we’re looking forward to coming back when the work has finished to see the end result! Breakfast was good with a choice of a full English breakfast freshly made and a few continental options. Overall we was very happy with our stay and we will definitely return. Thankyou for a lovely weekend away and we look forward to coming back!”

“Location and the room were good..breakfast poor.no bar or restaurant heard so many complaints from other people..one lady her room was double booked and had no other room for her bad management and staff..wouldn't recommend”
