“Quite a steep curve on this. The software needed to be updated. Unfortunately this version wasn't available as it had since been replaced.
Another SD card but the recommended route to download and flash kept saying the server wasn't available.
Reading other tails of woe led me an alternative method of flashing the OS.
I am now in a position to start using it. After the hiccup on software versions, it looks a good starting point.”

Great reading and the 3A+ is perfect!
Suggestion: include the basic steps on how to set up a headless Pi, had to look up on the internet (ssh empty file, name and pwd of the wifi, install and use VNC Viewer).
Other than that, very happy with everything.
