This was 53 955i version I had for two years. The only issue I had was, like so many, the charging system failed and left me stranded. A direct shunt to the battery fixed that and the bike never let me down again. I'd say it's more sporty than tourer because of it's power distribution. Second gear was always my favorite although I found I was hitting the rev limiter a lot in second. The ride is very comfortable and handling is good enough for a fun fest round the twisties but the zx's and gix's will make you work very hard to keep up. Build quality is spot on though being an all year round rider like myself the front forks suffer a bit of pitting. Small price to pay though. Before the sprint I had a Bandit 1200S K3 which was a bit of an animal. I was a bit disappointed at first when I got on the Sprint but that was simply because I didn't know how to ride it. Once I recognized the quality of this tripple motor it did everything but disappoint. I was very tempted to get the newer shape Sprint as a next bike but the sporty part of me wanted a GSXR 1000 so that's what I have. Love it to bits but the Triumph will always be a part of my riding experience and the memory's are good ones.

Pretty average but good as a tourer. A good all rounder without being too extreme. I sold it recently but might regret it.
