I've owned a 1972 Triumph Bonnie and own a 650 BSA Goldflash and they're lovely bikes if you like pottering around. However, the Norton is a different animal altogether and likes to get a move on. It's a British twin that can hold it's own in modern traffic which is mainly down to the isolastic setup. The key is to spend some time getting the gaps right on the isolastic mounts and it will ride very smooth at 3000rpm and above. It's a very gutsey motor and pulls away from 30mph in top to it's max speed. Another good feature are it's handsome looks.
