“I received the Polar A300 as a free gift when I purchased a water rowing machine. The down side is that as a heart rate monitor one must wear the monitor strapped around your chest unlike a fit bit that can pick up a heart beat through the wrist. The massive up side is it is waterproof which is what I wanted . The app is great for tracking daily progress and longer term goals . The watch will show your progress through the day as a bar fills up as you move around. You have a huge range of sports that you can set it up for, and the set up is very simple. The watch is easy to read and comfortable to wear, battery life is longer than expected. May not look as 'modern' as the latest fit bits but that's a personal thing. I would recommend this to someone who wants there own personal trainer for some motivation.”

“As this was a freebie that came with my treadmill, I didn't really expect very much of it, but do you know what? It's fabulous! It's very easy to use, the software is simple and I can see the progress I'm making at a glance every day.”
