26 way header, with long pins, for DIY custom Raspberry Pi hats.. Pins are a decent length, and it does what it's supposed to do.

Why don't you have a 2x20 header?

Perfect for stacking multiple hats on the pi. Helped me out of a tight spot on a project.

Came in very handy when I needed to stick a PiGlow ontop of my Zero+pHat DAC (w/ Phono) The Phono connectors were in the way so couldn't just stick the PiGlow straight on, but with this header I can. More than plenty long enough, can always be trimmed down. Removing those plastic spacers is possible but is a HUGE pain. I removed a portion of one to solder an RTC Module onto this to make use of the space it gave. High Quality, useful for things such as connecting/disconnecting a whole set of wires/dupont connectors at once. Cheap too, no harm in owning one for when it might come in useful!

If you need some extra height to connect a board or leads to your GPIO pins then these are ideal. They are also useful if your Pi case makes it a bit fiddly to get to the GPIO pins. I've used them to get additional clearance for the Protocam boards. Note that these are for the original model B. If you have a B+ or Pi 2 then you'll need the longer (40 pin) version.
