eeBoo Tea Party Reviews

Before now we have only played Orchard brand board games at home, so we were pleased to have the chance to review this game. Initially I was a little concerned that the premise may be too simple to capture her inagination...but I was entirely wrong! To play, you take turns in spinning the teapot shaped spinner, and then choose one of whatever it lands on. The object is to have one each of everything you need for your tea party. Beware the pesty wasps though...if the spinner lands on them you have to choose something to put back. As well as teaching turn taking, it is lovely for practising choosing (there are 4 different variations of each item to choose from). We also talked about matching, as there are 4 different patterns on the cups, plates and milk jugs. We have played this SO much already. It comes with a real tablecloth which Jessica loves laying out to start the game. The pieces are thick card, very robust, and are beautifully designed. I was also pleased to see that the inks used are vegetable based and the board recycled. I am planning a teaparty lunch as a treat for my little girl, and it has also led to her playing with her toy teaset which had been a bit abandoned before. Although this is aimed at the 3+ age group, I think it would be good for 2.5 up.
