Very expensive. I thought for £35 someone would come out and set up. So not sure what this was for

Dear Jane, Thank you for getting in touch today and for leaving us your feedback. I’m sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the set-up fee and that there has been some confusion over what this covers. To clarify, the set-up fee, as you point out, does not cover the Alarm being installed at the user's property. It refers to a process that must be performed for every Alarm that we send, in which our Care Team's numbers and other pertinent information are programmed into the Alarm. This process ensures that the Alarm is as easy to install as possible as a "plug and play" system, and greatly simplifies the process of installation for our Customers. Hence, in addition to administration fees incurred during the creation of the account, we charge a £35.00 set-up fee, as we have done in this case. If you are having trouble with the installation process, we do also offer full technical support over the phone from our Customer Service Team, which is available until 10 pm each day. Very easy to set up over the phone. Gentleman was very helpful and made everything very easy and clear to understand.

When you enter data yourself into various fields on the contact form, and then you have to repeat it over the phone, what exactly is this fee for? That said, they all charge something it and some are even dearer

Dear Vera, Thank you for your feedback. Please accept my sincere apologies for having to repeat the information you provided on your form. I can see the form had failed to upload correctly prior to testing the alarm which is why you found yourself repeating the information. This has been fully rectified now and I do hope this hasn't damaged our relationship with you. The fee you have paid covers the lifetime administration of the account as well as pre-programming the equipment before it is sent. As such you will find no administrative or postage fee's with us at any point. If there is anything else we can assist you with then please do let us know. Kind regards Richard
