Great yeast! Great price! I was able to try a few different bakes with this yeast and the results were tasty. Received lots of compliments on my hot cross buns and and levelled up my pizza dough. Delivery was quick, will be ordering again!

It has become almost impossible to find fresh yeast and sourdough doesn’t always give the right texture, eg in a sandwich loaf. I have resorted to traditional dried yeast, which avoids the additives in fast rising yeasts, but fresh is always best.

Using rather less than 1/6 of the small cube per kg flour this yeast is giving me a good flavour, crust and crumb with both Redbournbury and Matthews flours in straight fermentations ( about 5 hours in total ) gently knocked back once before loafing up. At this rate the yeast seems steady and reliable, and the flavour development is good. A previous trial at the much higher rate recommended ( half a cube per kg flour ) quickly went overproof and was much less successful.

Lovely fresh yeast, carefully packaged - packaging very useful for the compost bin, thank you! I've had this yeast before and find it excellent. Good service from Bakery Bits.

Lovely fresh yeast - performed beautifully in making rye bread. Easy to order the quantities needed and delivered very quickly in good condition with long use by date. Brilliant, thank you.

after reading the processes involved with normal yeast I am so happy to find an organic one. Although it says cannot be frozen I have successfully made many loaves with it - the texture alters to a bit runny but it still works.-
