It's a big beast to store though, and occupies a lot of the oven.”
“My cloche made fantastic bread, I was delighted with it but they are very sensitive to a change in temperature. When I took mine out of a preheated oven, a procedure I'd done many times, the base split. You don't seem to be able to buy spare bases and domes so at �47 for a few months baking it's not worth replacing. I'm looking for a cast iron pot that'll last forever.”
“The first item arrived well packaged. However, when opening the package, I found 2 small hairline cracks in the dome lid.
Further to a tel conversation with the office a new cloche was dispatched, which arrived safely undamaged. Good service.
I have baked 2 loaves to date, both with excellent results, albeit not much different to my old method of baking in an domestic oven. Still early days.
