“This is a vegan nipple cream and an alternative to lanolin. It has the consistency of Vaseline, and is intended to soothe sore nipples. As a nipple cream it's quite expensive, and if you are terribly sore you're going to use quite a lot of this, which could be pricey.
It has no fragrance and is tasteless, so is not going to put baby off. It's a nice cream with a lovely consistency but does cost a lot.”
“This comes ina small tube - just 10 ml and so it isn't a cheap product.
The idea of nipple cream is that it not only helps with sore nipples when you first start breast feeding BUT that it is also safe for the baby as the baby sucks on your nipples!
This one has no lanolin which is what is usually a major constituent in nipple cream as it is so rich and protective, This one has an alternative made from safe natural raw materials. Personally, I'd like to know what these are.
I use nipple cream as a lip balm for my grandchildren as it is healing, soothing, protective and safe if they get it in their mouths. Also as you apply it with your finger there is less danger of spreading germs by sharing a lipstick style balm.
This has no scent, flavour, or smell.
As a lip balm this will see me through winter. As a nipple cream, it might last you a shorter time.”
