“I am not very experienced but have used an earlier and more advance Husqvarna machine but due to the Covid pandemic I cannot acmes that machine. The Emerald 118 is a good, sturdy and relatively inexpensive machine. There are two disadvantages otherwise I would have given it 5 stars:- 1) The screwdriver supplied to remove the needle plate retaining screw is too cumbersome and really too long especially considering most people are right handed so are forced to use the tool with their left hand in a very awkward position. (A solution would be to have a short 90 degree wrench instead of the clumsy screwdriver) and 2) The Sewing Guide takes a lot of learning.”
