We were very comfortable and happy in this beautiful, spacious, and modern flat. It is perfect for families, with plenty of space for kids and even a bar to relax with friends over a glass of wine. There is one full bathroom and another half-bath, so you won’t find yourself fighting over the toilet in the morning (a big plus for us!). The shower has a 2-in-1 dual showerhead, and there is also a bathtub should you wish to bathe your kids or simply relax in a hot tub after a long day of hiking. The spacious kitchen is perfect for cooking up whatever local produce you’ve brought home from the many outdoor markets and farm shops in the region. There is even space in the entryway to store your bikes, boots, and hiking gear. If that’s not enough, the flat is ideally located in Kendal, a picturesque market town just a short drive from Windermere. Next door there is a wine bar serving fine wines, craft beers, and cocktails including many varieties of gin—we especially loved the locally distilled Lakeland Moon Gin. Just around the corner is the Blind Bus Driver, a unique speakeasy where you can order exquisitely crafted cocktails. This is the perfect place to stay in the Lake District. We had a great time here. Couldn’t recommend this place more.
