Bought an item that was out of stock Didn't even tell me until I emailed them and even then it took forever to get a response

Took my order when it was out of stock; didn’t tell me until I chased it up. Then sent wrong item. After numerous messages I got given a return label which wasn’t working and kept being sent the same reply until I asked them to send one by email or I would take it further. The postage cost me in total £13 for their mistake. It was my daughter Christmas present so she still hasn’t received it due to not receiving refund and it was purchased beginning of November and it’s now February

SCAMMERS! Have never delivered my order, haven’t refunded me, keep repeating they’re looking into it when they’re not! This has bed. Going on 6 weeks!!!! DISGUSTING!

Absolutely pathetic. My order has been outstanding for nearly 3 weeks with no sign of them taking action to fix the problem. Keep chasing but responses I get just say they don’t have any update. Totally totally unreliable. This business will fail at this rate.

Like other reviews say 2 day delivery but it took 7 days until it left the warehouse. I bought a jumper with a design but when I got it it was not the same than the pictures, what I got I could have buy it in another web for half price. The pictures were not accurate but I still have to pay for the delivery. Also I payed with paypal for the product but now to pay for the delivery back I need to use my bank card information ( By the way in the returning policy they don't say anything about paying for delivery) First and last time using this web.

Absolute nightmare!! I ordered 6 t-shirts on 02/09/2023. The t-shirts were purchased to take on holiday on 07/10/2023. On 11/09/2023 I was advised there was a delay in dispatching my order. After messaging Zavvi several times over the following weeks to chase the status of the order I was given the option to cancel the order on 28/09/2023. I cancelled the order due to Zavvi not being able to confirm that I’d receive the t-shirts in time for my holiday. Zavvi advised that the order had been cancelled and I would receive a refund. Then while I was on holiday I received an email stating that my order had been dispatched and would be delivered between 12/10/2023 and 14/10/2023. I contacted Zavvi the same day and was eventually advised that I’d have to return the items (at a cost to me. No apology for their error). I returned from holiday on 23/10/2023 and the next day tested positive with Covid. I tried to return the t-shirts within 30 days of receipt as per Zavvi’s policy but it wouldn’t allow me to because it said I was outside of the return time (it was counting from the day of the order as oppose to the day of receipt. The policy states the 30 days begins from day of receipt). I then had to message Zavvi yet again and was eventually provided with a returns form. I returned the items on 01/11/2023. It’s now 06/12/2023 and I still haven’t received my £85.99 refund despite chasing it up several times, providing proof of postage and making a complaint. I’ve sent Zavvi over 10 messages in total. They still owe me £85.99. Zavvi is an absolute joke and I will never be buying anything from them again!

536162836. Got a email from zavvi from making a review from another platform. My item was waiting for processing 5 days today. Received a email I'm will paste on here that the actual item was out of stock but 2 hrs later because I hadn't change my review they still takem the payment from my PayPal account. Here is the actual email below. Hello nathan, Thanks for placing your order with Zavvi UK. Please do not reply to us at this e-mail address as we will not receive your message. This is an automated response. A customer service colleague has sent you the following message: Hello Nathan, I hope you are well. Your details have been escalated over to myself, following your recent Trust Pilot review, regarding your order. I am so sorry to hear of the frustrations encountered during your recent experience with us and I understand the inconvenience this may have caused. I apologise for the delay in sending your order as the item is currently out of stock, if you no longer require the item or prefer an alternative, I can proceed with its cancellation. Rest assured, since the item has not been dispatched, no payment has been processed. Alternatively, if you choose to wait for the item, there's no immediate action required on your part. We'll notify you with a confirmation email once the item is dispatched. Please accept my sincerest apologies for the inconvenience this may have caused. I can assure you that this has been logged as a formal complaint, in which we will address all concerns recorded and take the necessary actions to improve on all aspects of the service provided moving forwards. I don't know if they have been taken over by new management but a couple of years ago they were the best for deliveries and customer service, now they're the worst, no way of contact, delivery never processed, wrong items sent, take money for items not in stock. Appalling.

I placed an order fir an item which included a free gift and free mystery box, I didn’t want the free gift so only selected the free mystery box but when my confirmation came through the muster box wasn’t included. I contacted Zavvi within one minute to inform them of this to be told “sorry for the inconvenience but we cannot amend an order! This was your mistake, my order still isn’t even processed and false advertising. I want to cancel my order for a full refund.

Never received items paid for, no response to emails, chatted on line with customer service and still no response. I was told it would ship April 4th and still nothing. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM.....

DO NOT ORDER FROM ZAVVI. They will not work with you and will send the same stock response. The other reviewers are correct. They will do everything to try and not refund. When they are fine they are great, if you have an issue it's a nightmare to deal with. I had damaged items (broken cases for the WB Vault films, torn cardboard, etc.) and they told me I could get a refund but were going to make me pay $80 to ship it back to them. It was cheaper to keep them broken movies. I ordered the limted edition of Fifth Element, $150. I preordered it to guarantee a place. I ended up purchasing a house before it came out and I no longer live at the old address. The film is not released yet, it's not in their warehouse or anything. I tried to reach out to tell them of my address change. I updated it on my account fine but the order still shows my old address. I contacted them and they just kept saying the same thing: you can't ammend an order. So wait, I either have to cancel a sold-out item and not receive it or let it ship to the old address I no longer live at. I contacted them about 6 times and they just kept sending the same stock response. No one will help you. It's preposterous that they cannot update the shipping address of a preordered item. Worst customer service I've ever dealt with. Will NEVER order from them again, I don't care if it's the only place to get something. I'd rather pay higher after-market prices than deal with them again.

Doesn't deliver the orders and then tries everything to not refund them. Costumer service will tell you the look into it and then nothing happens. You can contact them five times and they will never know what your issue was and never investigate further. Literal scam!

An unreliable merchant, totally disappointed service experience My purchased order was placed and I paid total £261 on 26 January 2023 but it was cancelled by Zavvi without given any reason and explanation on 28 January 2023 but Zavvi didn’t refund any quid to me up to 3 February 2023. I have kept messaging to customer service colleagues each day but they don’t care their customer they just said what their refund procedure was. 3-5 working days for customer support team to confirm the cancellation and taking further 5-7 working days for refund to be seen on account. It means to take total 8-12 working days for refund successfully. Their colleague NYLAH has confirmed me that. They are hesitant to help customers and they just don’t care of it. Received and keeping improper money is not their problem they just play their customers to explain their internal procedures. Every time when I contact them, they just repeated another new count 3-5 and 5-7 working days. When I really get angry to ask for their CEO contact, They would not care of it even I give a warning to publicly writing reviews on Trustpilot Twitter Facebook but he doesn’t care it. I have never seen such shamefulness dealing o believe it is a mist shameful dealing. My cancel order by ZAVVI number is 463710330. Hope when your company CEO see it and process the refund to me immediately. By the way please re-training your staff how to solve problem with customers and give respect and keep his promise to customers. He broke his promise with me also. You can ask your colleague for details.

I bought an expensive Lego product. Some time after it should have been delivered I realised I hadn't seen it so I checked my order and the tracking via Royal Mail only to find out that it had been undelivered and returned to Zavvi. I had received ZERO notification from Royal Mail or Zavvi themselves who now had my item back. The item is still in stock on their website so I asked them to re-send it OR refund me. Instead they refused and said that because the order is more than 40-days ago they would do nothing. Let that sink in. Royal Mail failed to deliver and returned the item (I had never even seen it) and they are exploiting the situation to keep the item and my money. I don't even know how this is legal. I am seeking advice.

I am another customer who shopped at this disgraceful company with the exact problems below. Ordered an item for Christmas, paid and never received a confirmation of my order. I tried to contact them via customer services and given a false order number. They say they can't find my order, which I have paid for. I have now bought the item again from a reliable on line company which I received the next day. I am going to report Zavvi as a company which should not be trading, taking money and not providing the goods

I ordered an in-stock product in November 2023 as a Christmas present, with plenty of time for it to be delivered regardless of the UK postal strikes. It has now been three weeks since I placed my order and it has yet to be dispatched. Their customer service team really couldn't care less. They all provide the same scripted response without being of any help. I may as well speak to a brick wall.

As I've written on this site before, Zavvi is great when no issues arise. When there are problems, however, customer service is useless. I've had to deal with them a few times and am convinced they just cut and paste responses ( which may or may not be relevant) so the next representative has to deal with the issues. Depending on what the issue is.. damaged goods, unshipped goods, etc, my advise is this. !) Call your credit card company. File a claim and get a claim reference #. 2) Call the shipper ( ie Fedex, UPS, etc). File a claim and get a claim reference #. 3) Reference these claim #s when messaging or live chatting with representatives. 4) Take screenshot of ALL messages and download transcripts of ALL live chats. 5) The feedback email to the hutgroup doesn't work. Mailbox was full as of 12/13/2022. Instead, email the CEO at matthew.moulding@thehutgroup.com 6) When I contacted the CFPB ( Consumer Financial Protection Bureau,) I was told to contact the FTC ( Federal Trade Commission.) You can file a claim/ask for advise as they handle internet retail services. https://www.ftc.gov/
