I have been having guitar lessons with Simone. I am a complete beginner and I'm so pleased with how the lessons are going and how quickly i'm learning. The company were very friendly and helpful when I called up to book in my lessons and I'm really enjoying the extra videos and clips that help me with my home practice.

I asked Gonsalo to teach my 6 year old son guitar to get him started playing, and he did a fantastic job in getting him to learn the basics at a suitable pace. Needless to say Gonsalo is an amazing and very talented guitarist himself, and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a competent teacher. 10/10.

It has been a few years since I last played the guitar and I needed some lessons to refresh and try and improve my technique. Before deciding on whether or not to book a face-to-face lesson, I thought that I would try the on-line lessons. I used the on-line lessons from Dan and found them to be extremely useful, very easy to follow and they have already helped me enormously. The lessons are very well constructed and Dan explains things in a very simple and understandable way. Fantastic.

I am very impressed by Dimi's musical knowledge ranging from classical to jazz to rock and blues. Apart from being a teacher he also inspires me with the high level he is on and I wish to be at one day. Not just is he a brilliant guitarist, but also he has a very unique way of teaching, understanding my difficulties and always figures the right approach to explaining and showing new material. I am very excited to continue my guitar journey with Dimi.

My son has been having lessons with Dan at YGA for four months and I can honestly say he is already playing with confidence, which I know will only improve as he continues to learn. Dan is an extremely proficient and highly motivating teacher who makes learning the guitar fun. I cannot recommend him enough. My son comes away feeling accomplished, encouraged and excited.

Started having lessons with Matt from Your Guitar Academy and my playing has improved enormously in a relatively short amount of time. He is great and the online content to back it up is amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone, beginner, advanced or anyone in between who is looking to improve their playing and enjoy their playing.

I had Ollie as a tutor and he was brilliant. He was great a deconstructing songs to make it easier to learn. He also supplied me lots cool exercises that improved my playing in strides. Because of his help my playing began to feel easier and that gave me more room to enjoy what I was doing. Highly recommend him or any of the tutors there.

Dimi is an extremely talented player and very patient and thorough teacher. His technique is fantastic and makes even the most difficult things seem achievable by breaking it down into smaller, more manageable chunks. He's also a really nice guy to boot : )

I’ve been taking classes with Olly for some 18 months now and they’ve proved hugely beneficial. I’d had weekly lessons with other teachers for a couple of years in the past, but the classes with Olly really are at quite a different level. Olly’s background as formally-trained music graduate means that he has a thorough knowledge of the theoretical and academic dimensions of music. That’s matched by great practical know-how as he’s also an active music professional regularly performing and recording across the UK. That really makes a difference, meaning that Olly brings a formidable level of expertise to his classes which really benefits the student. What’s been especially noteworthy is Olly’s capacity to adapt the curriculum and style of delivery to meet the student’s needs. In my case, that meant addressing some really deep seated problems with technique. Olly’s response has been to use an almost forensic analysis of the movements used in fretting and picking to identify and remove barriers to faster and more accurate playing. That’s been complemented by a very holistic approach to the whole philosophy of study and practice that has really helped. We’ve used engaging and challenging material by artists like Steve Vai and Paul Gilbert as study pieces and that’s made the whole process enormously rewarding and enjoyable for me. Olly’s complemented the face-to-face classes with great homework packages including books, videos, and other material that makes for a balanced and well-rounded approach to learning. I think it’ll still take quite a while yet to get to the level I’d really like to be at, but with Olly’s approach there’s now a real sense that the material I want to play is finally coming within reach. Highly recommended.

My tutor, Sol Hardy, is fantastic! He makes the lessons really good fun and he puts you at ease. The songs that Sol has taught me are a good mixture of popular titles in different genres. I was a complete novice when I first started having lessons 8 months ago with Sol and now I'm hooked on the guitar! The Your Guitar Academy materials are really helpful and easy to use on-line. I'm really pleased with my lessons so far and I'd happily recommend Sol!
